BID NOTICE AND INVITATION TO BID

Breede Valley Municipality invites bids from suitably qualified prospective service providers with fully equipped workshops within the radius of the municipal boundaries for the: BV 201:  SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF TWO TRAFFIC PATROL VEHICLES (SEDAN/ HATCH BACKS)

A bid document, for the above, may be obtained from Breede Valley Municipality, Supply Chain Management Unit Offices, Stofberg Huis, 23 Baring Street, Worcester.  Documents may be collected from Tuesday, 10th April 2012, during office hours Monday to Fridays 08:30 – 12:30 and 13:45 – 15:30.  A non-refundable fee of R228.00 (Two Hundred and twenty eight Rand) VAT included payable by bank guaranteed cheque made out in favour of Breede Valley Municipality is required on collection of the bid document.  Cash deposits will not be accepted.

Bids, in properly sealed envelopes and clearly marked on the outside with the corresponding bid reference number and description on the front and the complete postal address of the bidder on the back, must be placed in the tender box at Supply Chain Management Offices, Stofberg Huis, 23 Baring Street, Worcester.  The closing time and date for the submission of the bid document is strictly at 11h00 on Friday, 4th May 2012. Telephonic, telegraphic, telex, facsimile, electronic or e-mailed, and late bids will not be accepted.  Bids submitted must hold good for a period of 90 (ninety) days from closing date.

Breede Valley Municipality is bound by the Municipal Supply Chain Management Policy as adopted in terms of Section 111 of the Municipal Finance Management Act, 2003 (Act No 56 of 2003), the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act, 2000 (Act No 5 of 2000) and the relevant regulations to evaluate all bids received.  The 80/20 preference points system shall be applicable.
